A portfolio of my work

Thank you for reaching from the funnel of the humongous internet. This website is where I merge my thinking, work and opinion together. I request that you read for more than a minute should you end up here.

My work is as a researcher, technology developer, practitioner and learner, primarily around public-interest work and community-led, place-based engagements across Karnataka. Currently, I work in a fascinating intersection of technology, ecology, development and public history. My Bachelor’s training is in designing computation for applied social contexts.

I am currently looking for new work: in research on policy, humanities, applied-technology including spatial and archival platforms, and related worlds. You can find my CV here.

The Participatory Geospatial Lab

The Participatory Geo Spatial Lab (PGSL) is being envisioned as a space that can contribute knowledge through maps, tools and spatial narratives that are collaboratively made to aid learning, adaptation and advocacy happening in these places of work.

Over the last 3 years, I have been working on the Where does Hate Live? Archive. News articles and media collected/aggregated by Hindutva Watch and Alt News have been archived, and geolocated.

2022. At Atria University in Hebbal, SafeYelli workshopped student's experiences of safety across the city. We called it a Bottu Map.

Safe Yelli

Safe Yelli began as a student response to street harassment in Yelahanka, Bangalore. It was quick to start a form and a map. Easy components to make for the internet, even in 2021. But what comes after the map?
