I study in Yelahanka. Yelahanka goes dead silent by 5PM on the inner streets and is known within the student community as an unsafe region beyond that. While there are other interventions focused on emergency response contained to the student community, like a Students for Safety WhatsApp and Telegram group where people shout out calls for help. What is evident is that these incidents have existed for the entire decades the college has existed in the same neighbourhood, and while the infrastructure has apparently definitively improved, there are still gravely threatening incidents that happen.
