If our current timeline were to be narrated in a dystopian film, the first act would consist of fast, short clips of cultural conflict, of people being lynched, beaten up, and of speech that is brazen enough to empower separatists. I value Hindutva Watch’s work in this regard, in that these incidents are in the grey by the law and are not tracked as a representation of the times.

I geocode incidents up until Feb 2023, and integrate them into a prototype narrative explorer that could hopefully find use in newsrooms and research labs.
